The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC seeks applications for multiple post-doctoral positions in the Institute’s Bioengineering Initiative, available immediately.
The selected candidates will work in a team environment with reputed biomedical engineering experts, surgeons, and radiologists to conduct research and development aimed at meeting the Institute’s vision of less invasive and more precise surgeries through introduction of novel imaging technology, image fusion, navigation, and robotic assistance to pediatric surgery.
Required qualifications are:
• PhD in engineering (electrical, computer or biomedical) or computer science.
• Demonstrated expertise through doctoral work in one or more of the following areas: medical image analysis, image registration, surgical navigation and visualization, minimally invasive interventions, etc.
• Strong programming and good communication skills.
• Peer-reviewed publications.
